Ciaran Lyons is a Scottish-Irish writer-director based in Glasgow.

His debut feature Tummy Monster will have its World Premiere at Glasgow Film Festival 2024.

Hi follow-up feature "Obedience" was developed as part of the LiM 2023 writer-director training programme.

 

His folk-horror short film The Motorist, won Best Film at Berlin British Shorts from a Jury comprising Prano Bailey Bond and Mark Jenkins, and was nominated for a Scottish BAFTA award for 'Best Short Film'. Body-horror short The Degenerate, was funded by Screen Scotland and the BFI, and premiered at Screamfest LA. Odyssey, a narrative sci-fi ballet, was a collaboration with choreographer Nicholas Shoesmith and Scottish Ballet, and had it's premiere at Aesthetica Film Festival.
